Peppermint Birthday Wishes

This was one of the images I stamped off the last time Paula and friends came over. We are so funny...we spend the first hour or so stamping like wild women trading off all new images we have acquired since our last visit. There is paper, ink and stamps EVERYWHERE! I have such a blast with that bunch!

Anyhoo...this is one of Pauline's MFT stamps. Going with my latest trend, I coloured with my copics and shaded with pencils. I did add some veins to the leaves with my .005 marker because I wanted a bit more detail. The picture doesn't show it, but there is also just a bit of glitter amongst the flowers. The border punch is Martha Stewart , the baubles are from Stamping Bella, and sentiment is Stamping Up. I also added a bit of stitching on this card because my machine just happened to be accessible!

Enjoy!

Linda, this is Gorgeous! Awesome job as usual with those copics. Love your layout and use of the baubles.

This is a darling card...love the fact that you mix your pencils with the Copics, I have done this myself because I sometimes struggle with shading with the Copics alone!

Linda you've done it again - I love this! I checked the Bella site for the baubles... I've never used them before and I just love the look. Can you tell me if they are glass (hope not) and if they are flat on one side (hope so!) Thanks Linda.

I love it!! I love the extra vein you added, and that punch is pretty freaking cool too. Yes, that is a wild, dirty, inky fingers time when we bust out the stamps and start passing the around! LOL

Pretty! Your coloring is always so vibrant and gorgeous! And I love your shading too, that's one thing I don't do well with. :)

Linda, what do you stamp your original image with? I have used Gamsol a little bit but the ink appears to be blending into the pencils so I figure I am using the wrong ink.
