Wishing for Spring

So what did ya think about our sketch this week. I LOVED it! And with all this melting snow and mild temps I've been wishing for spring so decided to channel those thoughts into my card and colour up Stamping Bella's Posie Pixie.

This is one of my fav's from the new release and I love how airy it is. To keep with the airy and light feeling I stamped a corner punch into each of the four panels and put a soft green paper underneath. It is very subtle, but exactly what I wanted. I also decided to use the 'out of the box' technique with my spellbinders. After i did it I was really having a moment of 'what were you thinking' because that hair was a bit of a challenge to cut out. In the end, I'm glad I did it. Another thing I'm glad I did was put the little bow in her hair. I wanted ribbon somewhere and no matter where I placed it, it just kept gravitating to her hair! Another thing I'm glad I did. Are you getting the drift that I pretty much like everything about this card!

Now do you have any Bella rubber that hasn't seen any love lately, or maybe EVER? Well now is your chance to ink it up because our challenge next week is to use a stamp that has never seen ink, or not seen it in a long while. Email it to Emily by next Thursday to see it up in lights on her blog and even have a chance to win some Bella bucks out of it!

That's it for today!

Beautiful Linda! I love the colors, yes very soft and pretty. Great job of going "out of the box" with her hair, and the bow, perfect spot.

Adorable, Linda! Love her "hair extension"! And the bow, too?? Awesome little extra!

I just now retrieved your CHA/raw tuna comment out of my unmoderated comments and was ROFL! If I ever get to meet you in person, I am certain my gawking eyes will be bigger than yours! LOL!
