Lots to talk about today!

But I'm gonna start with my card so for those who don't want to listen to my babble can just move on quickly!

You may remember my LONG LOST BFF Cathy who I hooked up with last year. Well it was her birthday on Friday and she is a true DIVA! Always looking hot, trendy, getting her fingers and toes all looking pretty....hair and makeup perfect! So NOT me! I'll admit, I am a little obsessive about my hair, but nailpolish, NOT...and makeup...OMG....ONLY if I don't want to scare anyone. Do you know that the vast majority of people in my office work long hours for 9 days straight to get every other Friday off....me...not so much...I work 5 day a week, every week but every Friday since there is hardly anyone in the office I use it as an excuse to ditch half of my makeup routine because I probably won't see anyone anyway! LOL!!!!!

Sorry, see, I digress already! Back to the card. This is a Mo Manning image called Diva available in rubber at Stamping Bella. She was stamped with memento ink on Bella's BESTEST paper and coloured with a combo of copics and prisma pencils. These are the copics I used:

E0000, 000, 00, 11, R20, RV11
R0000, 000, 00, 01, 21, 30, 32, 34, 85
E40, 41, 42, 43, 21, 13, 15, 44
E31, 33, 34, 35, 37, 59, N0, 2, 5

WOW! I hope nobody asks me where I used the colours, because honestly, I coloured this image several weeks ago and I no longer have a clue! Which is one of the reasons why I often hesitate to list the colours used for fear someone will ask me specifics that I no longer recollect. (it's probably an age thing, but I'll call it artistic freedom cause it sounds better!)

Did you all enjoy the video last week? OMG! I HATE the sound of my voice but I think everyone who hears themselves says that. I can't thank Ebru enough for putting that together!

On a personal note, remember the back of mine that went out a few weeks ago! Well...massage, chiropractic treatment, muscle relaxants, anti-inflammatory, pain killers, x-rays, and a lot of whining has uncovered my problem....again...an age thing! I have significant disk degeneration between C5-6 prominent on the right side which is pinching the nerve that runs down my arm and into my hand (YUP...THAT arm)....aka....arthritis in the neck! I kinda wanna scream ENOUGH ALREADY....but I am a patient person, and will wait this out just like I did with my broken wrist and with therapy (and drugs) I am told I will be pain free in a FEW MONTHS! ....ya, you heard that right....in a FEW MONTHS! The good news is that prior to having the spasm in my back I had NO pain at all in my arm or hand, so once this settles I have been told that it will bother me from time to time but that is about the worst of it! I should be back to my normal 51-yr-old self in no time!

Next post....I'll tell you about my new pillow!

I hope you don't mind me commenting as I don't have a blog. but I've been following yours for a while now and I just wanted to say thank you for all the help and advice on copic and prisma colouring. The video tutorial was just brilliant and this card is, well, just WOW.
I found your blog through Mo's site and Mo's via at least three blogs in the UK, yes I'm a British 'stalker'.
I have arthritis too, so you have all my sympathy. I don't know if you can get it in Canada, but there's a brilliant herbal gel called Devil's Claw, I know, crazy name, but it works as well as as any pharmaceutical anti- inflammatory, and quickly. And before you ask, no I don't have shares in it, or work for the company! It's just good. Thanks again

That is too funny about the makeup!! I love it but only worry about it when I actually go out - that being said I have not problem going to the gym without it then the grocery store in my gym gear; yes I'm one of those! The nails however have to be done :) LOVE your card I will ever ink this image up now that I've seen what you did with it!!! Feel better soon - you know my recommendation is vino ;)

Linda, I love this card!! I just made a birthday card for my niece using this image. I sure wish I had seen your card before I did mine. It would have helped a lot:) I searched everywhere to see if someone had colored this image and what colors they used for the hair. And, I love how you colored the boa - gorgeous. tfs

Linda, I want to tell you what I like best about your cards. You let the image speak itself. I love this digital illustration. Beautifully done.

OMG this is stunning! I have always enjoyed visiting your blog because I know I will always be treated to a work of art - but Girl you have totally outdone yourself. This is the best artistic interpretation I have ever seen of a Mo image. Ok - any image, this just simply rocks! I'll keep trucking along and hope that someday I can grow up to be just like you!

I WHOLE heartedly agree with my sister Pauline!! This is killing me, I wanna hold it close and look, she is out of this world, OMG, STUNNING, fabulosity all in one freaking card. Is it the pain that makes you suffer that gets this to come out your fingertips?? Do I need to get into a fight or fling myself down a long staircase to find some pain? lol, maybe just exercise?

Oh dear, Linda, I am so feeling your pain! I've spent the last three months living that nightmare too. The ER, the doc appts., the PT, etc. Radiating pain in my left arm and shoulder that was debilitating. (And I'm left handed!) Obviously no stamping going on at all. Finally had an MRI and found out that I had a disc compressing my spinal cord - between C6 and C7. The only option that they gave me was to have disc replacement. At least that took the decision making process right outta the whole thing but it was a scary thought. NOW, I'm three weeks post surgery and have a titanium disc in my neck. The pain was gone instantly and the recovery was really quick considering the severity of it all.

I still have some numbness in my finger and thumb and some discomfort in my left side that might just be from overcompensating and disuse. Hopefully that will go away.

I know that the pain can be so all consuming so I really do hope that you recover very soon. I look forward to your feeds each week and am always in awe of your talent.

Sending healing thoughts your way!
Leigh

Well I'm usually a pretty quiet gal, admiring your cards and coloring from afar, but this one just stunned me. I love the colors you've used and I really hope you've remembered the colors correctly because I intend to adopt them, lol! I love pink, but not overly bright pinks, and this color combo is perfect! Thanks for sharing your fantastic talent!
