Time to pass the torch

If you read on Emily's blog today that I am taking a hiatus, you read it right. After 3+ years of devoting my weekends to the 'craft' I've decided to devote some time to other things that need doing around here. I've got some redecorating fairies dancing around in my head and some unfinished projects that are screaming to be done.

I'm sure many of you must know that balancing a full time job and family against an abundance of creative energy is a difficult task and eventually we hit the wall where something has got to give. As much as I would like to retire from the full time job that is not the thing that can give yet so I have decided to step down from Emily's Stamping Bella design team.

Am I going to give up the craft entirely? NO WAY...I still love it. Remember Christmas is just around the corner and making Christmas cards for me and my mom is still something I am looking forward to doing. So I'll be around, but maybe just not as often.

I'll leave you with my last 'official' bellarific Friday card....another self portrait...me sitting at the window trying to decide what project to tackle next!

'till next time, Linda

Terrible news. I wish I could give you more time in the day! Will you post pictures or keep up your blog? Let us know, ok? I would give anything to take a class from you. Please put me down on a list if you have one. I feel like I know you, and want whatever is best for you, so I best wishes your way.

That is a beautiful card Linda! I will miss your BF cards but look forward to your posts whenever you have time....life does tend to get in the way of our crafting time! Enjoy your other projects - perhaps a blog post about them?! I look forward to your Christmas cards. Take care :-)

Linda, a gorgeous card as always. You will certainly be missed. Your work is so inspiring. I wish you all the best in your future endeavors. We will have to get together now and again to have a colouring night.

I was sad to hear you and Pauline were both leaving at the same time. Your cards are the best of the best. Hopefully you will still teach a Mixed Media class or two at the Paper Pickle?? I'm fortunate that I was able to take a couple with you and enjoyed them both so much.

Of course, this is a real beauty. I love your coloring and the warm colors you used here. It's very sweet and soothing.
