Well for anyone who knows me, knows that I am not much for bling...I'm more of a Talbots or Ralph Lauren type of girl. So when Emily presented us with the challenge and wanted GOLD and BLING I put my creative self in gear and decided on ASIAN!
Yoko and Ono stepped up to the plate and I couldn't be more pleased. I think I may perch them in my new Zen inspired bathroom and admire them for a while! I bought the October Afternoon paper at Scrapfest specifically with these girls in mind and got to work. I must say when I was colorin' them up I was thinking they were shifting away from my vision but in the end it worked for me. Of course sistah Paula called me AGAIN knowing that I'd be busy colorin' but I think she is actually helping me out...maybe she is sending me telepathic colorin' vibes over the phone lines and she doesn't even realize it! LOL! Keep it up sistah...you know how I love to hear that Michigan accent of yours!
I colored the girls up with copics, and used pencils for shading. For the bling I used that quickie glue pen with lots of dots to fill in the space and sprinked on some orange colored loose glitter. I cut the layers out with nesties and added a heavy edge with a gold Krylon pen. You can't tell from the pic but I decided to try out Paula's idea of using black gel pen on their hair and it makes it nice sleek and shiny! Great idea sistah!
I hope everyone is enjoying these challenges as much as I am! Now go check out Emily's blog and see what everyone else came up with.

Your card is so beautiful. Do you know hat color copics you used. I think the colors are perfect.
Seriously beautiful card!! I was on Stamping Bella's blog and totally knew your card BEFORE I read the name! What brand of black gel pen do you use?
This is so stinkin' cute...makes me sad because I don't think I included this Ketto stamp in my big order. Next time, I guess! Anyhoo, darling card!
As always - your colouring is awesome - will always be jealous - you are my idol. Love Yoko and Ono and I like how you tucked the gold in around the edges. Can't wait to see what you create next.
These girls are fabulous! I really thought you used a metal frame on the card...it looks awesome! You got the gold and the bling but made it completely elegant! Love this card!
Beautiful card!! I'm not into glitz either, but I sure do like this card with your cute duo and your beautiful coloring. It has just the right amount of bling to showcase these sweeties.
I can NOT believe this wasn't your initial vision because this is just stunning! I mean STUNNING!! I feel like a hack and I must be sending all my 'vibes' to you and I guess that's it for the phone calls. You are sucking my mojo away!! lol
Seriously, this rocks! I love the gold with the red, perfect touch!
