It is the 'F' day!

I'm home from Hamilton and after writing up this post last night I snuggled up on the couch with my fur baby. I missed her and worried she wasn't feeling the love while I was gone. But the men took good care of her and the meds she is on seem to have her back to her sassy old demanding self again, even though she is still favouring the leg. Now, it's gonna be difficult to keep her quiet and calm until the surgery.

It was another sketch challenge over at Emily's blog this week and I'll admit, I'm really liking these sketch challenges...! This week I decided to use Bluebell Bittybloom and color her up all pretty in pink....it was a perfect color choice so i could use the Think Pink sentiment. I followed the sketch pretty closely and don't think I cheated at all! Now I can't be 100% certain, but I am pretty sure I used copics in the following colors for her dress...R81, 83, 85, y00, 11...plus likely a grey...probably a T3 to add some depth. The basket was done with E40, 41 42 with a small bit of E44 for shading. Shading was done with pencils and of course I cut her out with my rectangle Spellbinders nestabilities and added glitter with my Quickie Glue Pen and Glamour Dust. To finish it off, I used my fav EK Success Dotted Scallop punch and pulled out some Bella Cotton Candy Bonbons. As I was linking up here, I noticed that there was at least one new EK punch on the site and I think I feel the need for a little retail therapy coming on!
That's it for today, hope you all have a wonderful weekend!
