Love Bug

I'm in Hamilton this week for work so I finished this card on the weekend to have ready for ya. This is the last of my road trip images, it is from the Stamping Bella Huggabug series and this little cutie is called Lovey Huggabug. I think I stamped this one off from my BFF Pauline, for some reason I don't have a lot of these little bugs in my stash. As most always, I colored it up with my copics but I didn't make notes on the colors I used. I do know that I used E0000, E00O, E00 and E01 for the flesh tones and R20 for the cheeks because they are my go-to colors for flesh.

The blue shading was done with pencils and after cutting the little bug with my circle nestie, I left it in place and sponged the VersaMagic Thathched Straw ink around the edge. To finish it off I added some glossy accents to the little antenna tips and the shoes and dotted my quickie glue pen and sprinkled Glamour dust on the wings.

For the inside of the card I used the I just love you sentiment that was stamped on a strip of paper and mounted on a piece that I cut with my EK Success Scalloped Scallop punch. These punches are a dream. They cut so easily, not to mention they are easy to store! I will most definitely be adding more of them to my collection.

Have a good rest of the week everyone and don't forget you still have one more day to play along in this week's challenge! I'll be glad to be coming home tomorrow...hopefully someone is watering my patio pots while I'm gone!
