We have a saying in our little group at work....

....and it goes like this....DENIED!

I know, I know...for peeps who have been reading with me for a while know we have that other saying...Ohm...but we use this one as frequently, maybe more. So you are probably curious why we use DENIED! Well you know I work in IT...specifically I'm a programmer type. So we have 'clients' who want things changed, or want new things done, or have wild ideas. So if the idea is just too far fetched, or the change they want is not worth the time it will take we just say...nope, DENIED....of course we only use this with people who are generally our peers and we have worked closely with for many years so they are used to it, and we do follow up with a legit reason, but it is our short quick answer when we need it. Since I was the one who 'originated' the phrase in the workplace I was even presented with my own personal 'DENIED' stamp for xmas one year! I love my co-workers!

Now you are probably wondering what does this have to do with the card??? Well, we have had someone on 'loan' to us from another area for a few months filling in for a mat leave and his tenure is coming to a close. We are sad to see him go and he is sad to leave...(but he's not without a job or anything, just going back to his old job). So as a farewell card from our group I decided to use all bummed out baby with the all bumed out sentiment. Inside I wrote "us too" and made a pocket to hold a keychain of 'DENIED' tags with my personalized stamp, just in case he might need them when he goes back to the old job. I don't want him to leave thinking he didn't learn anything from us! LOL!

I decided to use my Lyra's on this card for a change instead of copics because I wanted a softer look. However, I did use copics for the fleshtones...look at that little bum, couldn't you just pinch it! After cutting him out with my nestie, I left the die in place and sponged Ranger Antique Linen Distress Ink around the edges. It gave a nice rustic look to go along with the Graphic 45 paper.

Now for the girl who is coming back from mat leave who has two little kiddies at home....she might be getting an Ohm card as a welcome back! She'll need it!

This is too stinkin' cute for words and I love that you used a typically "baby" stamp to make this card for a grown man...not to mention the story cracked me up as well! Great job, he is going to love it!

OMG, your co-workers must love that you are a stamper-extraordinaire! You could *never* find a card in the store that could even come close to what you wanted to say. This is absolutely fabulous!!! And, as Paula says - manly :)
